Lisa started her own consulting business specializing in communications and public affairs after spending 10 years building a network within the food and nutrition arena. She works on behalf of clients to tell their unique stories to appropriate audiences and creates environments that are favorable for their products. Lisa has a keen understanding of global food policy issues and has worked in different markets including: Europe, Canada, Latin America, and Asia. She represents her clients to the media and has conducted interviews on numerous major news outlets; NBC, CNN and the Food Network to name a few. Lisa gets fired up about helping to solve challenges faced by her clients in the current complicated communications arena. She excels in providing counsel and offering insights into ways they can reach key audiences to deliver their messages and market their brands.Lisa is an active member of professional associations, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Institute of Food Technologists, the American Institute for Wine and Food, the Society of Wine Educators, and the French Wine Society.Lisa is not only an expert in all health-related matters, she is passionate about food and wine and has spent 10 years of her career working in the food and wine business. After a 20 year career with the U.S. Air Force, Paul began a new career in the food and beverage industry while serving as Office Manager at the General Mills’ Government Relations Office in Washington, DC. After eight years, he brought his expertise to work as an Associate for K Consulting where he keeps Lisa, as well as clients, informed on hot topic food and beverage issues appearing in all media outlets. Additionally, he monitors and analyzes recently released nutrition regulations and policy documents issued by federal, international, and health organizations, which affect their specific industries. Paul also prepares talking points on a broad range of nutrition issues as well as preparation of summaries to relevant policy workshops and meetings.Paul is a native of Clarksburg, WV and holds an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Administrative Management. In his spare time, he enjoys long distance cycling and has participated in many fundraising charities within the U.S. Capitol region. When not biking, he also enjoys other outdoor activities, travel, and the study of wine.
